FAQs

Can I use pancake mix instead?

A: Yes, but the flavor and texture won’t be as rich. For red velvet taste, it’s worth making from scratch.

How do I make them dairy-free?

A: Use plant-based milk and a dairy-free buttermilk substitute (like almond milk with a splash of lemon juice). Also, replace butter with coconut oil or vegetable oil.

Can I turn this into a dessert?

A: Absolutely. Add a scoop of vanilla ice cream, drizzle with chocolate sauce, and you’ve got yourself a red velvet waffle.
